Deviant Art is a site where anyone can upload their work. The work can all be viewed by anyone unless the profile is made private but you can find anything from a pencil sketch to a full sculpture to jewellery pieces.
Computer Arts is a Magazine, but on the website you can find almost any tutorial you need. There are tutorials for Photoshop, Illustrator and more. The website is not just tutorials, you can also find work from upcoming illustrators and designers and even enter competitions.
Google is the most well know website, you can ask almost everyone about it and they will know what you are talking about (Unless they are from the Prehistoric ages). Its the number 1 stop when it comes to finding any images, website, video and you can even find any place in Earth with a full birds eye view.
Flickr is a site for anyone to upload and manage your photographers. People from all over the world are able to upload and share their work with anyone who is searching. You can upload images from your mobile, computer, through the web and even from the camera itself if yours does.
Tumblr is a BLOGing website. You are able to follow friends or someone you’ve never even met if your interested in their uploads. I personally use it to upload images and videos I find inspiring, helpful of something that just interests me.
ArtAs1 is a website that promote upcoming artists, illustrators and designers from Japan. Japan is always one step ahead with anything Art and Design so this is a great site to try and find where the future of Art and Design is heading.
Illustrationweb represents the best upcoming illustrators from all around the world. It’s very helpful when looking for inspiration in your own Art and Design projects because you can maybe find new techniques your interested in progressing yourself.
Illustration Friday is a weekly creative outlet/participatory art exhibit for illustrators and artists of all skill levels. It was designed to challenge participants creatively. They believe that every person has a little creative bone in their body. Illustration Friday just gives a no-pressure, fun excuse to use it. No clients looking for a particular thing. No one judging the outcome of the work. It’s a chance to experiment and explore and play with visual art.
Youtube is is a site where anyone can upload a video, be it from a camera phone, web cam of digital camera. It’s become more famous for having it’s clips used on the TV programme Rood Tube. The clips include funny ‘You’ve Been Framed’ moments, peoples live BLOG, advertisements, music videos and movie trailers.
WordPress is a bloging site. It’s used to make a processional portfolio of just archiving everyday things. It’s sort of a place to make a mini website of your own, without all the added hosting costs or trouble of having to renew any membership.
